Born and raised in Montreal, Jamie Goren has spent his whole career as an entrepreneur in Montreal, a career that dates back to 1991. Having started two companies and acquired two others, Jamie has largely serviced marketing departments and agencies working with or for Health and Beauty and consumer product clients.
In 2015 , recognizing his interest and his clients’ needs to automate certain functions, he started a new venture as a reseller of software to these same markets. These varied experiences mean that Jamie is very well positioned to understand the specific challenges faced by small and medium sized businesses and the advantages of automating certain functions. This experience has taught him how leveraging technology in the right areas can reap huge benefits in a very short time.
With this experience now under his belt, he partnered with Mark to form 10-20 Marketing with the mission of helping every small business become found online with minimal management effort through the use of technology.
Throughout his career, Mark has worked on the agency side, first specializing in content strategy and development at several advertising agencies in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Sensing a shift from the traditional communications model to a more real-time, response-driven landscape, Mark began to focus on the digital world, working in content development and social media. As an early adopter of new tools and approaches, he used this opportunity to shift into the listen-first environment, guiding clients through developing social media insights programs and benchmarking metrics to better understand marketing performance.
After founding his own small business, he leads social media business with clients across several industries and manages a team of motivated, high-performing people. Mark also lead the development of a best-in-class social media measurement program for Ford Canada that features both social media and traditional research approaches, all designed to gauge marketing success and guide content development.
