FAQs
A local business listing is an online profile that contains:
- Your business name,
- Address,
- Phone number,
- Hours of operation,
- Written descriptions of your business,
- Logos and other photos of your business and products, and
- Social media links
- Other important details.
When you claim your listing on search engines, social networks, or review sites, these sites will show your business to more people who are looking for what you offer in the area where you operate. This makes it easier for them to call you, get directions to your business, click through to your website, or share details about your location with others.
The submission process can take up to three months as different networks have different processes for receiving and verifying information. Some accept submissions daily, others weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
We will send you a link to a form to gather the information we will need from you. Once this form is submitted, we will use your answers to submit the information to the different directories in your plan. Within days weeks, you will receive instructions on how to add us as administrators of your Google My Business and Facebook pages.
The best way is to provide links to your photos. There is often a unique URL associated with your images online. Right click on images you want us to use and ask your browser to open the image in a new tab. Copy the URL of that tab and then paste into the appropriate field in the form we send to you to complete.
Who can benefit from online business listings on networks such as Google, Facebook, Yelp, Yahoo and Bing? Just about anyone. We specialize in helping the small business owner; people with one to five business locations who understand their business well but need a little help setting up their most basic marketing elements. Typically, our clients include professional services businesses such as health clinics, medical offices, accountants, lawyers, and others of this type. We also service restaurants, retailers in malls and at independent locations, car dealers, jewelers, spa and salon owners, and those who have service area businesses such as electricians, plumbers, and general contractors. This being said, we’re happy to help all types of businesses with less than 50 locations set up and optimize their online directories.
Every error in your business information across the internet reduces your business’s chances of showing up when potential customers search online. Consistency across several directories helps validate your business for each one, which has an impact on their listings’ SEO, making your business more findable overall.
Your consumer’s voice is a very powerful marketing tool. When the feedback is positive, it motivates other potential buyers to consider your brand. Negative feedback, on the other hand, may send up some warning flags to potential buyers, but for you as a business owner – this feedback is even more valuable. This negative feedback allows you to identify issues that you may not have even thought of. Proactively acting on this feedback can ensure that you ‘fix’ these identified issues before they become big and impact more customers. At the same time, receiving negative feedback gives you and opportunity to make things better – turning the customer from an unhappy one to a satisfied one.
We will work with you to set up the platform and give you access. You will be required to give the platform access to your Facebook, Google, and Twitter accounts if desired.
Our platform lets you auto-share your customer reviews to your Facebook, Twitter, Google, and our network of 50+ sites and 140 million users, turning the reviews of your best customers into marketing material for potential customers to see and consume. So, essentially, the best reviews left for your business become content for your social media channels.
For small business owners, a great cost-effective way to gain traction from your online listings is to encourage your best customers to leave you a review. The more reviews you have, the greater the SEO benefit. The higher your ratings, the more likely that customers will choose you over a competitor. When customers have a positive experience and help create buzz, your reputation grows. As a result, a lack of reviews – and a lack of positive reviews – for your business can lead to lost customers.
